Marie de Martinez, MA, FACHE
Having committed 25 years to acute and specialty medicine with two hospitals, several medical clinics, a state medical society and a variety of public health projects, de Martinez is uniquely qualified to lead collaborative projects which involve private and public entities. She has held hospital executive responsibility for strategic planning, board development, business development, clinic operations, physician recruitment and physician relations.  She has led marketing/public relations and advertising teams to win national, regional and local awards.Additional training and work in mediation and neurolinguistics provide her clients with insightful perspective in conflict resolution, and negotiations with perspective partners.Ms. de Martinez recently provided leadership for one year as interim state hospital pandemic preparedness program (HPP) administrator.  A strong regional leader, she was named Administrator of the Year by the Nebraska Chapter of ACHE in 2005, negotiated the first cardiac co-management agreement in the country in 2003, served as founding president of the central Nebraska-Area Health Education Center for 6 years, and served a 5 year gubernatorial appointment as President of the Nebraska Womens’ Health Advisory Committee.

She is a speaker for The Governance Institute, and currently president-elect of the Heartland Health Executives Group.

Senator Michael R. Gloor, MA, MS, FACHE
Nebraska State Senator Mike Gloor, spent over 20 years as President & CE0 of a mid-size acute care hospital in the Midwest. Prior to that he was COO, and prior still, human resources director for a hospital. He has been interested in advocacy throughout his career and is especially adept in assisting our clients with action and education in legislative issues, advocacy, healthcare reform, hospital administration, physician relations, new business development, master facility planning, health and human services planning, and negotiation.Senator Gloor resides in Nebraska, and is available for consultations outside of Nebraska until December 2016. He is available for consultation in Nebraska beginning January 2017.
Francine Sparby, MS, BSN

Francine’s first-hand experience spans rural and urban healthcare in private and academic settings in hospitals ranging from 150 to 364 beds, and up to 550 employees and an operating budget up to $10M.  Her experience with healthcare systems has included;  multi-site, acute care, academic medical center, community, tertiary care, level I trauma, faith-based, magnet and union settings. Her direct clinical responsibilities have included; ER, OR, Med/Surg, OB, Ortho, Oncology, EENT, Peds, Women & Infants, Cardiac/Medical/NeuroTrauma ICU, NICU, Post-Op, Post Coronary, Infection Control, Education.


  • She was charge with and credited with stabilizing the nursing division during a transition to multi-site healthcare system
  • Francine has coached and mentored new managers; served as consultant and liaison for nurse and physician clinical pathway development which resulted in improved unit teamwork and expense reduction
  • Francine cross-trained neurology nurses to facilitate more timely transfers of stable ventilator patients from ICU
  • She established shared leadership model, nursing peer review process, evidence based practices, new nursing delivery model and practices consistent with Magnet standards
  • Under her direction employee opinion survey scores inproved, as did communication and team collaboration on 16 bed inpatient SICU by implementing the Collaborative Practice Model

 A. Kathy Morse, RN, MD, FACP 
A. Kathy Morse, MD is a critical care physician with over 20 years of clinical experience as a physician and a nurse.  Dr. Morse has proven critical thinking, decision making skills, and quality improvement experience requiring strong team leadership capabilities to address conflict and guide difficult decisions.  She has extensive experience as a community physician working collaboratively with hospitals.  She spent a decade on the board of directors of a mid-size community hospital.Dr. Morse has served as Credentials Committee Chairperson, Board Quality Committee Chairperson, Medical Staff President, Peer Review Committee Chairperson as well as Medical Staff Bylaws Chairperson.She has a keen appreciation of current healthcare dynamics from the perspective of practicing physician, as well as from the Board of Directors role.  She began her clinical care experience as a Critical Care RN.  Her unique combined experience as a nurse, physician and hospital board member provide outstanding background to work collaboratively with hospitals and physician practices to improve quality processes and reporting, as well a facilitating relationship improvement among physicians and hospitals.  Bottom line improvements in patient care flow naturally from improvements in these areas.

Dr. Morse has served as a board member of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Women’s Health Program, the Nebraska Medical Association member, and the University of Nebraska Medical Centers’ Alumni Association President and board member.
